Artist's Description

An old sun-dried and termite-chewn wooden cross denotes the broken remains of a concrete grave marker in the desolate acacia-strewn cemetery of the Arizona desert ghostown of Fairbank. The cross is adorned with turquoise rosary beads and bronze crucifixes, offerings from strangers to commemorate those who once lived and died in this harsh land.

About Al Andersen

Al Andersen

I am a nature and travel photographer based in Southeastern Arizona, specializing in imagery of the Western United States. To date, most of my offers here on Fine Art America (Pixels) have been photographic images, and are clearly marked as such. Recently, I've developed an interest in generative AI artwork, and have decided to also provide those here at FAA. They will be clearly marked as generative ai works, to ensure they are not mistaken for photographs. I can be contacted via Flickr and Mastodon. Thank you for your visit and I hope you enjoy looking through my images! COPYRIGHT NOTICE © Al Andersen, All Rights Reserved.
